A 1988 CUDA graduate who also earned a degree in business administration majoring in marketing from the University of Central Florida. Shawn’s career in sales & marketing has given him experience which he utilizes to help local charities grow. Shawn has served in leadership roles throughout his life including philanthropies as founding Vice Chairman of Kidds aRe First, Chairman of NSB CAPS, and Founding Chairman of CUDAS UnHooked.

Jenna Maggio

Jenna joined the Cudas Unhooked team in 2023. She is a licensed clinical social worker and serves as our executive director. Jenna has two step kids who graduated from NSB high school and is passionate about helping young people set goals and become more independent.

Smyrna Peterson

Smyrna moved to NSB in 2015 and attending NSB High School. She was a Cudas UnHooked student and graduated in 2019.

She holds an MBA from Stetson University. She loves Cudas UnHooked and can attest to the amazing things that it does as a former CU student. “I would not be where I am today without Cudas UnHooked”.

Moving to NSB in 2001, Jenn has always had a heart for helping those in need. She holds a bachelors in special education from the University of Georgia.

She originally got involved when her friend, Shawn Lane, mentioned Cudas Unhooked to her in 2018. Since then, she has been an integral part of helping the Cudas Unhooked students succeed even after high school.

House Operations Manager

Joan moved to NSB in 2015 and has been a crucial part of the success of Cudas Unhooked and the Cuda House. She holds an MBA from Arizona State University.

Joan enjoys working with young adults and wants to help them succeed.
